Contributions Combat COVID-19

The outpouring of support from your community during the coronavirus pandemic has been truly overwhelming.

You have been mission critical! In addition to meals, cloth masks and personal protective equipment (PPE) donations, you have contributed an astounding $674,084 to the COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund.

The COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund was created in response to the coronavirus pandemic and its far-reaching impacts on the health of your local community and hospital resources.

It is a privilege to share with you how your gifts have helped others and supported the vital services of Island Hospital.

Because of your generosity, you provided funding for:

  • 8 state-of-the-art new ventilators
  • Tele-ICU equipment
  • Telemedicine for specialty clinics
  • Cepheid machine testing cartridges for COVID-19 testing
  • 2-3 months of Personal Protective Equipment
  • Training for redeployed nursing staff

In addition, COVID-19 Emergency Relief funds will support screening stations at hospital entrances, additional cleaning, new signage, staffing and more.

You have quite literally put community in community hospital and we cannot thank you enough for your support of the patients, visitors and staff at Island Hospital during a global health crisis.

Contributions to the COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund are still being accepted. Donations can be made online or checks can be mailed to:
