Expanding Critical Care

Because of you, eight new ventilators were purchased for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The new ventilators seamlessly integrate five devices in one: a ventilator, oxygen concentrator, cough assist, suction and nebulizer. Having all of these features in one device will reduce caregiver challenges and improve patient outcomes.

Not only is having this leading-edge technology vital to critical care, but you have also enabled the ICU to increase the number of patients for whom it can care. This means that more patients can stay close to home and loved ones when seriously ill. The best part? These ventilators will continue to be used in the ICU long after the coronavirus outbreak is contained.

Thank you for making Island Hospital a high-tech facility for critical care.
