On Wednesday, May 4, 2022, the funds raised by all who donated on #GivingTuesday in the November of 2021 made an impact on Anacortes youth. The Foundation partnered with the Nick of Time Foundation, Anacortes School District and Island Health to screen 287 local youth for cardiac abnormalities. Through these screenings, cardiac abnormalities were detected in five students.
Your support provided critical access to students in the form of scholarships for those who could not afford a screening and the purchase of two Cardea Screen EKG machines for Island Primary Care. These machines are leading-edge cardiac technology designed to detect youth cardiac abnormalities.
