Did you know that Island Health Foundation accepts donations in a variety of forms? There are many types of gifts that will ensure 5-star healthcare in our community.
How You Can Give
1. Cash
Usually in the form of a check or a credit card charge, gifts of cash allow you to claim a tax deduction. Actual savings from gifts of cash depend on your tax bracket.
2. Tax-Smart Ways to Give
Doing good is often reward enough, but donations to IHF and tax deductions can often go hand-in-hand.
IRA Charitable Rollover (QCD)
For those 70 1/2 or older, you can give from your IRA without paying federal income tax and satisfy your Required Minimum Deduction.
Donor Advised Fund
As one of the easiest and most tax-advantageous ways to give, Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) are the fastest-growing charitable giving vehicle in the United States.
Stocks, Securities, and Mutual Funds
Giving the gift of appreciated securities or mutual funds can be a tax-savvy way to benefit from growing assets.
3. Estate and Planned Giving
